Gmail is down?

For some reason, I cannot open gmail.com. Does anyone know if the Google Mail client is down, since I seem to be able to use google right now.

I don't think Gmail is down. I think you just put in something wrong or your internet's slow...?

Gmail seems to work best with the google browser, Internet explorer is way slow in loading gmail. But it opens quick with Google Chrome.

Gmail has been working for me all day, did you try restarting it and then trying it again. Gmail when you tryed maybe were doing some kind of maintence on it at the time.
