Coyote Rules for survival, in no particular order
« on: July 07, 2010, 05:16:24 pm »

the coyote's survival manual

#1) always leave a way out

#2) Never let anyone possess your mind. Once your mind is lost, there is no hope. You will have become an object. Only objects tolerate abuse.

#3) keep your eyes & mind open to all possibilities

#4) cooperate but never be exploited.

#5) An honorable enemy is of more value than a dishonorable friend.

# 666) Sacred Cows are even tastier than domesticated cows, tender, juicy, and flavorful - But the animal's husbandry will pursue you 2x as far, & with 2x the determination if you make it a meal. ;-)

#667 pursuing wild ideas is generally more rewarding than domesticated ones ;-)

#7) If there's only one way in, it's a trap.

#8) a good mate is worth more than a pack of associates - There's a reason a coyote will chew it's foot off without fear. ;-)

#9) exercise care when choosing friends & rivals, but exercise even more care when choosing enemies. ;-)

#10) A group of people with the same vision will always fall into the same traps.

11) when your self says something contrary - believe it. You have those senses for a reason - when the hair on your neck stands up, move away & make no sudden moves.

12) Don't pick up something you're not prepared to let go of.
12A) If you claim a mantle, make sure you can pick it up and wear it, because it will take several pounds of flesh when someone else takes it off of you - you can never remove a mantle once it's claimed.

#13) when you come across a trap, watch those who set them closely, so you can spring the traps - then spring every trap you encounter & teach your pups. ;-)

#14) Before you can know your enemy, you must first know your self.

#15 - Never live with folks who could harm you ;-)

#16 - never let anyone steal your peace and joy.

#17) - don't believe anything you hear, and half of what you see ;-)

#18) Only the lucky experience heartbreak - It makes everything else seem sooooo much more bearable! ;-)

#19) If bugs won't eat it, it's not food.

#20) Anything that burns can be a beacon ;-)

#21) make sure you're a more enticing target than what you protect.

#22) Women are unfit for domestication. Buy a dog if you want a pet.

#23) A mate who wants to be domesticated is an unfit mate.

#24) If you hear, "I feel exactly the same way," too often. They are lying to you.

#25) choosing someone who sees the same things in the same way you do is the worst kind of relationship - the only growth that can occur is growing apart.

#26) Choose someone who complements your vision. If you find yourself saying "I never knew that!" it's a relationship worth pursuing. Then you can grow closer.

#27) If you're caught in the perfect storm you'll either make it out or you
won't. Worrying won't change the outcome one way or the other. It is
energy wasted that would be better used surviving. ~via Calvin Mayfield

#28) Declaring allegiance to a more dangerous monster to rid yourself of an existing monster means you will have a bigger monster to rid yourself of in the end.

#29) There is no monster you can't rid yourself of with your own bag of tricks, or your true friends.

#30) If you become a monster to get rid of a monster, you have solved nothing -You're just another monster. Someone will have to come along and get rid of you in due time.
