For years I've had a cordless phone and it worked well but recently the battery died and would not charge. I needed to get a new one. I was reluctant and didn't really have the time to get to the store but just the other day stopped in at the Good Will store and came across a real deal on this phone for $3.50! I grabbed it thinking what a deal and I was pretty sure it would work. It works great and I just love it! I think it's like middle 70s model or early 80s but it's not cordless and there is NO BATTERY to die on it! It has a speaker system and redial and all the other essential hot keys! What a deal for $3.50!

My cordless phone just died about a week ago.....I'm thinking about going back to non-cordless for good....less problems.

things were much easier in the 70s & 80s.........most things at least, I like the older landline phones. Do you know that when touch tone phones (push button) hit the west coast in 1974 that there was only TEN BUTTONS and not twelve.  (There was no "star" or "pound" button....they were added later.  Just a bit of trivia that i thought you might like to hear. see picture below.
