Hayward should be doing the perp walk, not attending sailboat races.

I cannot watch this stuff either, something should have been done to stop this already, there should have been an emergency shut off there, this is unforgiveable.

My avatar is a painting of a young girl under water. Some people don't like it. I don't like it either but I am not changing it until this oil mess is stopped.

And yet we continue to drive mile after mile after mile and fill up tank after tank after tank; and yet we continue to complain when gas prices rise even the slightest noticeable amount.

That's why I'm looking into biodiesel and other alternatives.

I appreciate your sentiment but this may be the wrong audience. If I had the money to switch to solar, wind, biodesle, hybrid, whatever, I would not be here clicking for pennies.  Also, if you listened to the hearings as I did, you would know that BP had 100s of safety violations while none of the other oil co's had more than 3 or 4. This did not have to happen and should not have happened.

I didn't cry, but that's not saying I wasn't effected by the video. I find the whole ordeal to be disturbing and sickening. This mess should have been done with a loooong time ago but neither BP OR THE GOVERNMENT did anything at first to clean it up. It is BP's fault but the gov. should have stepped in sooner to help get things done instead of the two sides playing the blame game with each other. And I agree, Tony Hayward should be jailed for this because it is simply a crime.

Have any of you ever attempted to calculate your carbon footprint?

You all better be boycotting BP stations and products.  Ampm, ARCO, BP Travel Centre, BP Connect, BP Express, BP Shop, BP 2go, Castrol, Shell-Mex, Marks and Spencer/M&S Simply Food,Air BP, and BP Shipping. Avoid them like the plague. I hate those damn lemmings of people who still use them.

What seriously bothers me though is this could happen to any oil rig from any big oil company as many are in the same shape as this blundered one. Hopefully they're all pouring money into them to prevent future disasters like this one. And yes, Hayward should be prosecuted and sent to prison. You can get a 500$ fine or 3 months in jail for just throwing a fast-food bag of garbage out the window of your car. I think it will be an extremely shameful thing if our country does not take action agaist the people who could have secured this rig and prevented this. Something similar happened in China a few years ago where an executive of a company hoarded some money instead of investing it in cleaning up his factories. The result was a ton more pollution in the cities-- something which hurts many people already in China. The government found out about this and sentenced him to death.

YESSSSSSS-LEMMINGS!!! Did you happen to see the MTV movie awards?? The host of the show, Aziz Ansari sent out a sweet little message to BP in part of his hosting duties!!!! I can't post the video, because it violates fusion cash rules!

I agree with every word you say! The whole situation has gone on way to long now, and the people involved in the decision that caused this oil spill need to be Shaken! No matter what anyone says, it always comes down to one wrong decision, and BOOM~disasters happen! I can't even take my daughter to the coast for the first time this year because of these bastards! I am NOT going to get that time back!

I most certaily hope that Bp goes out of business- or, at least bought out by a reputable oil company that will smack them around a bit and set them straight. Send Hayward to jail, let him pay his dues. That would be justice.......
