Why do people pass gas in don't say excuse me?

i say excuse me if i'm around people i know but if i'm in public and one escapes i just move along. i'm too embarrassed to just announce the whole thing lol i would rather just walk away and hope no one notices!

Kimber?   What???  You funny!  I try not to break wind where anyone can hear OR smell.  Sometimes, your among people and you have to toot (can't help it).  I try to be very quiet, and pray no one smells anything.  One time I was with a man I barely knew.  We were in those first stages of getting to know each other.  He had good manners and was always impeccably groomed.  One night, we were standing outside talking about this and that....and he rips one off.  We both started laughing so hard, it was hilarious!  He said he tried to just squeeze it out carefully, but once it started, it had a mind of it's own.  That definitely broke the ice.  We have become the closest of friends, and every time we remember, it sends us into hesterics! 

You definitely say excuse me if your among anyone, and your not doing it on purpose.  There are those that just tear em off, one after another and think nothing about it.  That....is bad manners (putting it lightly).  We all have bodily functions and sounds that are natural, but there's decorum if and when they are to be shared....lol  My pet peeve is someone who hasn't bathed in ages, and your trapped with them in an elevator or somewhere you can't get away.  The BO smell is enough to make me yak.

LOL....Annella, I try! And I agree with you 100%. I would definitely say excuse me if someone was in the room with me or in the vicinity of 10 square feet of me & I let one rip! lol... and B.O. is definitely a BIG turn off & people who do not shower or do not use deodorant should be banned from the planet! Do they NOT smell themselves?? lol...anyway..don't wanna break the topic! All have a great Holiday weekend! Tootles!

I work at a Senior Center and let me tell you, I have heard some gas passing that should have peeled the paint off the walls.  I never hear an "excuse me".  I think it is done so often they don't think anything of it or maybe they don't even know they did it. Thank goodness I was never down wind or is it upwind?

They do it in the store in they know they did it and don't say excuse me. Than there is the ones you tell say excuse me an they say anytime or more room out than inn. What do you think?

well, i rip gas..but when no one is around in the store..so i dont have to say excuse me coz no one knows i did it lol. gross, yeah, but when u got gas and it hurts...well u have no choice to let it go. trust me,i'm sure u know what im talking about.
