I thought that i would step in here and explain the thread meaning: these are lyrics to the classic song by Elton John "Levon" and the words are as follows:

I have been a member here for about 17 months or so and try to avoid subjexts like this but i find your post offensive personally, but i respect that you are entitled to your own opinion. But i will put it to you like this:

If man goes through a lifetime of believing in God and at the end finds out there is nothing then what has a lost? 70 years? 80 years? 100 years?.........BUT, on the other side of the coin, what if he goes through life NOT believing? and finds out in the end that there IS a God, what has he risked? An eternity in Hell?........Not me thank you, I believe. Just my personal opinion.

I believe if the man made written version of GOD truly existed, and 'he' truly wanted to put anyone into hell to burn for eternity who didnt believe in him... Then he isnt worth your time! Think about those who never heard of him, in some small village in africa? those not old enough to understand? Those who have been victimized by the clergy? Or anyone who is scientific and too logical for their own good... Do they all deserve to burn in hell? I sure would hope not.
