sunburned
« on: June 22, 2010, 09:01:09 am »
I was laying out at a friends house yesterday and got burnt!   I should know better since this always happens to me.  Oh, and I did use suntan lotion. lol  Do any of you burn easy like I do when laying out in the sun?

I burn pretty easily, my son burns within 20 minutes. We recently used a sunblock called Ocean Potion and still got burned up. It was 50 Spf and we put it on every hour but still ended up crispy. I think it was just the brand that failed. I switched to the Coppertone Sport brand . We swam all day and didn't get any sun.

I burn really easy too, I joke that I come in three colors - transparent (I'm really pale) pink - (when I'm burned) and opaque (that's' my tan) LOL  I went on vacation with some friends from work a few years back we were camping and out in the sun all day, it was a fun time but, when we got back in town my face was one giant blister and I had to go to work looking like an overcooked lobster for a week.

I'm also fair sking and i put on 30 SPF, go into the pook and get a tan with an umbrella. But we stay at the beach from 10am to 6pm.  :sad1: the last time i went without the umbrella crispy wasn't even the word. I was sure hurting :BangHead:

It never fails...I burn every summer...the worst is when I try to put lotion on my back myself and miss a huge spot right in the middle...it feels like I'm being eaten alive by ants the next day!! A little note---vinegar in a spray bottle really does help!

I tend to burn even without the sun being out. There are times where ill burn in the same area more than once during the same year. But i got this really nice after sun burn relief.

I'm visiting El Paso, TX (I'm from Illinois) and in only 1.5 hours of walking around outside without sunblock I burned so bad I peeled. Haha. This is my first time in Texas. I wasn't expecting the sun to be so hot here.. but I guess they do call it the "Sun City." Good to know...

No sunburn here!  I'm hispanic and even though I'm lighter skined, I just get all golden when I've been in the sun.  I need a tan!!!

I got a really bad sun burn when i took my boys to the creek.  I haven't been in sun that much and I hurt for a bout 4 days clothes for work liked to kill me.   :o    :BangHead:   I usually after the first time being out I tan the rest of the time.  My sister doesn't even try to get a tan anymore due to her just burnning within about 10 minutes of being out there and then turnning back white.  I mean so white that the sun needs sun shades.  lol.. Got Milk I tell her.  She laughs and says yeap milky.

I don't burn much anymore. Used to when I was younger though. Glad I don't anymore :)

I learned in my anatomy class that black people can burn also, they are just less likely to develop skin cancer
