Ticked off by surveys
« on: June 16, 2010, 11:45:50 am »
I like to do surverys but what ticks me off most is spending 15 or more minutes answering questions then get a message  " not qualified for payment"
With the few questions you do in the beginning to "qualify" for the survery, that should give them enough info to do the survey or not.
Instead alot of them say your qualified, you spend 10 or more minutes answering questions about specific products, you get to 60 or 90 % through the survey then POP all of a sudden you don't qualify.  Something is wrong in this!!!

That's only happened to me once where I felt like I was definitely taking the survey, and not just answering pre-req questions. I was thoroughly annoyed. It was one of those surveys where they display digital magazines, and it asked if I had read certain magazines. Some of them I had, but after answering no about 2 in a row (and knowing that the next issue I actually had read!) it told me I didn't qualify. I'd answered enough questions for the survey already that I felt like I should have been allowed to finish and get credit. Not to mention that the survey was really relevant to me, and those are always the most fun to take. But whatev!  :dontknow:

I take surveys on other websites too, and sometimes that happens to me.  One time I took a survey almost 80% through, and it kicked me out and said I didn't qualify.  I must have went through 25 pages already.  I contacted the website (contact us option) who offered the surveys, and told them.  I received credit for it.  Just make sure you can relate what the survey was about, what time of day you took it, and name of survey company (like OTX, Brain Juicer, etc.)  The websites are only hosts to the surveys, but they can still do something for you if you feel taken advantage of.  I've only had to do this twice out of all the surveys I've done.  Not a bad ratio.

I spent over 40 min. on one survey about tires for cars, then it said that I did not qualify for the survey. I was so mad. I've had a few that close to the end froze up and I lost them. It drives me nuts when I think about all the time wasted and I didn't even get the .60...

I have to agree with you.  There's nothing more irritating than getting into a survey for almost 15 or more minutes only to be told that you aren't qualified or that the needed number of responses has been met.  They should know this ahead of time (and they do) but they collect vital information for stat tracking and we get nothing in return.

Unfortunately, completing surveys for me has been a complete time waster.  Most so called surveys are really not surveys at all but lead generation for other companies looking to increase their bank accounts not ours.  More than half of the surveys, I've never qualified for and the payout is usually very small compared to the time put into it.

:cat:  I agree with you.  And to top it off, last week I took several and made it through (the daily surveys), and as of yet, I still haven't been credited for them.  Usually I'm credited by the next day at least.  In support it says it could take up to 30 days, but that's a long time to wait.

i have had the same problems too. i could spend 30-40 minutes on a survery and then when i submit my answer, the survey dissappears or states they have reached their quota for that particular survey :angry7:

keep trying them and leaving the webpages up before you exit them and most of the time you will be credited quickly

Yes this has happened to me a few times taking the surveys. But recently I haven't even qualified for the surveys. Which is ok hopefully soon I will be qualified.

I feel your pain.  It doesn't happen to me too often, but when it does...

All you can do is be persistent.
