i cant seem to get referrals either. i have a banner posted  and still cant seem to get referrals, i even emailed friends and family and im not getting any referrals , any ideas.

you can always post on free classifieds, plenty of em to be had with a google search.  if you're willing to invest, you can buy targeted mailing lists as well.  people like to see that proof of payment!
