well I live 15 minutes from Washington DC -- there are so many things to name.
Then you have historic Annapolis, the Naval Academy and so much more there
and 30-40 minute drive you'll be in Baltimore with more things to offer
and can't forget Alexandria Virginia which is also near by and well known for its historical significance.

I guess there is a lot around here - including Six Flags about 1 mile from my house which draws crowds!

Hi ya'll. I have been a member of FC for a while, but just now starting to post.
As you can probably tell, I am from the South....live in East Tennessee.

Tourist attractions here are:
Dollywood
Great Smoky Mtns. National Park
Gatlinburg (my home town)
Pigeon Forge
And of course, the ultimate in College Football - Neyland Stadium and a TN Vols football game!  :)

If you like camping, we have the Blue Mound Stat Park.

Camping, rock climbing and hiking trails on prairie; a buffalo herd.

I live halfway between NYC and Boston...plenty to do in both those places, lol.  Six Flags New England is 1.5 hrs away.  Roger Williams Zoo in Rhode Island is really fun, especially with little people.
