What constitutes a post?
« on: May 25, 2010, 05:00:00 am »
I've noticed a number of questions/topics that only need a one word answer. Is this a Poll or a post? Does a one word post qualify toward the 30/month? A single word hardly makes for discussion.  A single word post seems like an easy way out to reach the 30 quota. Maybe a sub-board  of just polls would be appropriate. Maybe credit taking a poll a penny or nickel apiece. And set a number of polls you can take in a day or a week. There is an FC sponsor that invites members to create their own surveys to poll the membership and even non-members in certain instances. I'm afraid to name the site for fear of breaking the Rules, but most of you know the place. Would this be a violation of the contract between the sponsor and fusion cash?

First, I would say one-word posts aren't posts at all. There's simply no reason you should limit your post to one word, even in just responding to a poll thread. You can at least elaborate on why you chose your answer.

As for the polling site, I don't really understand what you're asking. Are you saying that voting on polls should have its own separate monthly bonus?

A contributory post is one that offers some insight, makes people laugh, carries a conversation, provides information or help, or something along those lines.  It's not spam, or an attempt to make money for oneself, and it's not short or missing content.  Basically, if you post just to meet the 30 post requirement, you wont qualify.

I've been basically posting my response to things that interest me.  I'm a pretty chatty person so it hasn't been hard for me to come up with actual posts.   :dontknow:

Stay away from one word responses and try to be helpful in some way usually.  That has always worked for me.

I'm not sure of this question, but I assume that we make a post about questions we may have or concerns. Maybe their an important question to ask an we need eachohers opinion. I think it's a way to get aquainted and at same time work together as a group to help eachother every now and them. I think it's good communication and helps everyone included get the information they need without decretion. Just have fun and try to be patient. Everyone have great day. :D

:cat:  I like what Emerald said!  These posts/questions, etc., also give us newbies a way to interact, take part, and even think up new posts to put on here!

I don't know how much usefulness a newbie can be of, but that isn't going  to stop me from trying. Hope it works for me too.
