Where do you go after death?
I've Been wondering about where does a persons soul or spirit go after your earthly body ceases to exist. Or perhaps when you expire is that the end zilch zero nada? Any opinions?

There's an infinite amount of possibilities. Each idea is just as right or wrong as the next.

In the past Most of the time I said the saying "I feel as if Ive been to hell and back", Now after my near death experience I say "I went to heaven and back". Here is my experience,  :angel11:

In my experience my father who passed away when I was 3, was there just minutes before my accident, I started thinking of him and told my self why am I thinking of him then just seconds before my accident I heard his voice, Next thing i know I feel as if I floated in to the air and go into a warm yellow bright tunnel like area, I got the feeling as you feel on a nice sunny morning, I felt the best feeling in the world a feeling of peace, silence, no stress, worries, you feel as if you just got a moment where the only thing you feel is warmth, happiness and a view of a nice peaceful day as when you wrap a new born with a warm fluffy blanket. The only thing is is you see as if you are floating and going full blast into this warm sunny place and you are still aware of whats happening. You start to wonder where your going, who is next to you, for me it was my father, I communicated with him without saying a word, and in our conversation we were talking about things like if I want to go back. He was giving me the option to come back to my daughter and my mother, I choose to come back and then we came to a stop still floating in the nice warm and bright place and my mother was standing there with us. I was floating in the middle of them and I told my self how can this be happening my mother and my father standing together, I took a step back and looked at them in disbelief, my father had brought me back to my daughter and mother.

Then I opened my eyes and the first thing I told the paramedics is, I am dreaming this is not happening I was just with my father, the paramedic told me no you have been in a car accident what is your name, then I asked for my daughter of 3 years old in a panic and they brought her to me still in her car seat and was in perfect condition, is as if she was in a bubble when it happened. The doctors were so amazed at me having no broken bones and was going to recover fine.

On the way home from the hospital we get lost in a little town because we were 5 hrs from home, and we go into a little gas station store and at the counter when we are paying for snacks a stack of newspaper was there and My daughter and I were in the front cover with the title, "Seat Belts Saves Lives". The clerk was surprised as we were.

i think the spirit lives forever.  when the body stops living our soul goes to a higher plane, a spiritual plane.  i dont know if there is a hell.  i believe that when we leave this physical world we go to a spiritual world, one of peace and love.  our souls evolve in this world and we must constantly better ourselves.just some thoughts.........i could be wrong........the only ones who truely know r probably dead........i think the soul lives forever and we learn and row more and more as our lives go on and we evolve.  heaven is commonly used to desribe the "Afterworld" where we live with God.  perhaps we live in heaven.  i was raised catholic but religion can be questiones unlessof vourse someone is brainwashed.  im willing to learn and not readily blieve everything im told just because it seems right or is popular.  too many people dont think for themselves im sure and just bcause they were raised christian they think the common beliefs hell, heaven, good, bad.  i have to know the honest truth not just because a pastor or church or bible is saying it.  if God tells me then i will believe what he tells me.

Some facts about NDEs:

#1 They are scientifically-reproducible events (meaning they can be induced even if the subject is nowhere near death)
#2 They are caused by one's brain malfunctioning, losing oxygen and blood circulation
#3 Out-of-body experiences and the like are probably due to the brain trying to make sense of this potentially fatal moment
#4 NDEs vary by culture, meaning if you "see a bright light", angels, etc....you are probably an American Christian

My opinions are a perfectly good reason to hate me.

I'm sure most people don't hate you.  That's a very strong word.

Indeed it is and not one I ever use with another human, no matter what they do to me. I will say I hate liver, because that is the truth!  ;) Then again, feeling like people hate you, are always going after you, and you are always misperceived does go along with a disturbed mentality, so consider the source.
You are entitled to your own opinion, but you are not entitled to your own facts.

I don't know, but I'm sure there's an after life because rather people believe it or not there is such thing as ghost's. My family have seen ghost's (not me though) and my mother had an out of body experience. So there is an after life but I don't understand why some spirit's get trapped down here on earth...I hope there's a hell cause a lot of people deserve to go there, LOL.

Hello Queenofnines,

In response to the medical explanations you posted about the NDE, there is no way to know what really happens until you experience it yourself, Something the doctors haven't experienced and just found an explanation for it. After my accident i researched this information and found out about tons of other people with near death experiences also describe similar experiences to mine. Yes the brain is impacted, but does that mean everyone who experience NDE start to form similar stories in their brains during the impact.  No I would think well everyone in the world is a little different and have different family history of members that have passed, ghost stories, and different things that caused the NDE. How can we all form this similar experience with some facts being exactly the same in each of our own brains. Its impossible for everyone to see the same things and feel the same feelings.

Before my accident I still had a doubt of what happens when you pass away even though I am religious and believe in God, Heaven, and Hell. Just like everyone else I had ideas and things I learn in church but nothing could confirm the truth until you experience it. Right after my accident I told my self if I ever had a doubt about death, ghost or fears of dieing, Now I don't because I have experienced something incredible and I know what I felt and saw for a fact.

Nobody will believe it until you experience it yourself and about the medical explanation is just assumption that the brain is causing you to think these things, a medical reason to be able to explain to the rest of the world. Just like the other many things that they keep from us, because if we know then it would cause chaos on earth.
