Has anyone been to Hawaii?  I just got back a few days ago and I am exhausted.  I had a great time but it is WAY TO EXPENSIVE there .... I can't imagine living there.  It was beautiful but I couldn't find anything to eat that  was good .... nice to be home

I live in Hawaii, there's corruption in the government system, and the roads are horrible. It's very pointless to own a new car due to the numerous potholes on the road. Since I was born and raised in Hawaii, I'm used to the expensive prices.  I just don't care about the fancy stuff. I just want to finish my goals in college and that's about it. Oh yeah and earn here and textbroker in the summer.

I lived there for two years.  It took almost a year to get over the sticker shock.  I found ways to live as cheaply as I could.  You didn't go to the right places if you couldn't find anything to eat God I miss the food!  What part of Hawaii did you go to?  If it was Oahu please tell me you didn't spend all your time in Waikiki?  That would have been your first mistake. Going to all the tourist traps would be the quickest way to make your money disappear.

Born and raised in Hawaii. Lived in Texas for 3 years. Glad to be back home. Expensive, yes. Having a full time job helps a lot. Hawaii may be expensive but we get paid more than a lot of other states so it evens out. The true locals know the BEST places to eat. Ask around next time :)

I would love to go there on vacation but yeah, you're right...EXPENSIVE!!!! I think it's because they have to import just about everything.  :dontknow:
