Hi everyone  I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful spring weather, I know I am. Don't you just love this little spot on FC? I have been so busy trying to find a job, and boy it's hard. I had an interview yesterday and job shadowed today. I hope I get the job. It's only temporary (for the summer) but every bit counts. I know there is a lot of folks out there struggling like me. I wish you all the best of luck in whatever you do.
Yep I went to school online just in case it did not work out with my childs father it worked out. if i didnt go to school i could be a stay at home mom. Once school is done in about 1.5 years i will be oweing 60,000 in loans before all the interest adds up. Been looking for a job it just doesnt seem to do any good. I also have my own business but i really havent sold enough and now im trying to do this work at home thing but it requires refferals to make any money. UGH I hope you get that job

HI EVERYONE!!!

Workmama! Thank you sooo much for letting me ask a few questions. I really appreciate it and hope the questions are not too invasive.

Question 1: In "this economy" (I hate writing that...I feel like a douche.) has your fiancée's hours of work or work available gone down?
-I ask because in my head I think "Okay economy may be down, but people still need their cars. Although people are probably more likey to use public transport, there are people out there who still refuse to do so. As for collision repair people are ALWAYS getting into accidents, the other day I was driving to the dmv and came across 2 accidents. Eventually they'll need to get their car fixed." So I just want to know if it's really affected and if so should I look to a career that is less likely to be affected....*sigh* like a nurse.

Question 2: Does your fiancée make decent money?
-I'm not talking about yacht money, I can get that when I remarry a guy who is 3 times my age and rich. I just want a job that keeps me from wondering if I should become a stripper or not. Even though I don't think they'll want me as a stripper because I'll be pushing a "don't look, don't touch" rule.  ;D You don't have to go into exact numbers, I just want to know if he's happy with what he makes. Lol or is he wondering if he should become a stripper as well?

Question 3: Job security! Do a lot of people come and go where he works or has it usually been the same people for a long period of time?
-May only asking this because I previously said I had a lot of questions...but didn't have as many as I thought. I may have over-exaggerated.

Last Question 4!: Is he really happy with his job? Has he ever thought that he should go into something else?
-I mostly want to know because, you did say he loves what he does because he talks about it all the time. But I just wonder if he's ever had any doubt about it. Like I love sleeping on my bed, but I would never want to make beds. So I'm wondering if I'm doing that sort of thing. I love cars, but would I love fixing them? I just want to hear from someone who's already there.

Okay that's all! Sorry for all the questions! Thank you Workmama and Workmama's fiancée! I appreciate greatly your time and effort and hope that I didn't cause you too much inconvenience .

Yo Florezitta, it's always great to drop in and say hi to you and everyone else. Life is just ducky in my neck of the woods. The weather is gorgeous, perfect for long walks. I will know soon if I got that job I interviewed for. I have to go back next week for a final interview and then I should know if I have the job. I sure hope I have it. The hours are great and its part time, so I will still have plenty of time to play here on FC. Your doing a great job with your chat room, and you are really good at responding to everyone. You are a star.

Hey Koki!  Sorry it took me awhile to reply...was visiting my parents for the Memorial Day weekend and just got back. I talked to Jeff and he replied to the questions you asked and I will try to relay them back to you as good as I can!
Answer #1: I don't think the economy has affected his job in anyway, actually he seems to be working more hours lately. During the summer the mechanic work always goes up, Jeff said that it is because people do not know how to treat or maintain their car correctly during the summer months. Winter is a busy time too, but not as much as most people around this area do not go out much. It might depend differently where you live, depending upon the weather and city.
Answer #2: Definetely, DO NOT GO INTO STRIPPING!!! I think you would generate more "hottness" and respect in collision repair or just being a mechanic! ;D He does make a decent amount of money, but I won't disclose the exact amount, although it is occasionaly generous! ;) He often times gets bonuses too, such as to how many vehicles he had repaired that previous month! So its kind of like the more work you do, the better the pay. You have to know many people and get their trust with your relaible reputation, then you will see business soar! To give you a clue, we are not struggling with any payments or anything and we have options to go shopping any given day or just to go out and have some fun, with some money left over. We are living in an apartment right now, while we are saving to buy a house, which will be soon, like at the end of this year.
Answer #3: Like answer #2, Jeff has many "referrals", so in a way you have to take a risk at first and advertise yourself, but after that you are in good hands. Jeff is not worried at all about losing his job at the time, so I think it has good job security! :) :star:
Answer #4:  :sad1: LOL JUST KIDDING!!!  ;D Jeff just really loves his job and hasn't considered going into something else. Auto repair has been in his family for a long time. His dad was a mechanic too, so it just came naturally for Jeff. It's his passion, so he says that he couldn't imagine doing anything else!
I hope these answers helped any! :) I have to sign off now...have other stuff I need to do. I'll chat with you later Koki! BYE!! :peace: :star:

Hey Survey Dad! Hope your little girl is having an awesome birthday!!! When I was her age...I had to have a party dress, or I would get mad...actually after my 3rd and 4th birthday, my mom told me that my party dress was all I wanted to wear for everyday! Is your daughter the same?  :peace:

hi florezitta! just wanted to say hi and a big high-five, thumbs up, and pat on the back for all the stay at home moms!
i had my son at 18 and had to work (sometimes 2 jobs and go to school) to support us, but now i am 28 and am able to stay home and take care of him, my 2 year old daughter, and my wonderful husband. i love that she is always with me, i am always home when my son gets home from school, and that neither of them have to go to daycare.
