To me, the main difference between alcohol and pot is that one is legal and the other is generally not. Both are dangerous when done a lot and will get you in trouble behind the wheel. The best thing to do is to tax pot and place restrictions on where and how much you can do it, just like alcohol. Pot being illegal hasn't stopped people who want to try it so we might as well earn some revenue from it.

Well ive been smoking for a long time, If It kills brain cells I must have  2 or 3 left that refuse to die. coz im still functioning well, i have a very good memory,im able to reason, i still know right from wrong, I can still read a book and comprehend what im reading.Weed makes me think isnt that excerciseing my brain?  so how long does it take to kill all the brain cells? I know alot of people who smoked as long as me and they are all  hardworking intelligent family orientated people. So i really dont get the killing of brain cell thing, just because you see the comercials on tv telling you thats what weed does  dosnt neccesarily mean its the truth, just like your bible somebody wrote a book years ago, you can believe it to be true or you dont, But from experience so far im not buying into the kills brain cell thing, Im 50 years old now and i know people 20 years older than i that smoke weed  and you cant tell by talking to them they smoke weed,   Have you ever smoked weed Marieelissa?

I really think that people themselves are the gateway drug, not marijuana.  Marijuana is an inanimate object, incapable of making decisions, but human beings are capable of making the choice to smoke it, therefore they are responsible for choosing to smoke it, and the decision to do other drugs!!!!

No it doesn't, studies have shown in some people it actually stimulates the brain. And for those who also think its a gateway drug, start thinking for yourself!!! It's inhaling smoke in general that kills brain cells. Same with smoking cigarettes or inhaling BBQ smoke. But you can also use a vaporizer or eat it to avoid smoke inhalation so the argument against it killing brain cells isn't a valid argument in the slightest. I agree with you fully.

No. Only because it has changed so many of my friends... I have friends that used to be great people then they start smoking pot all of the time and they don't care about anything.. They don't even care if someone dies it's like they become feelingless... And boring.. I can't even have fun with them anymore because they have changed so much.. I've had to make all new friends because careles boring people who think they are cool are not people I want to associate with honestly. So no, it's not okay.. It alters personalities.
