I love how all these pot heads think when america makes pot legal they will be able to get it. Here is a wake-up! You will need a Prescription and most likely it will come in a pill form, since you only need the THC.

There are currently 13 states with Medical Cannabis laws on the books. It is done by prescription and by a license obtained and renewed by the patient and his supplier if they don't grow their own. It's not in a pill form, it's smoked or 'eaten/consumed' in other ways, just like it always has been. As it stands now, this is for people who are living a life that's less than ideal because of cancer, anorexia, blinding glaucoma, and a few other conditions. If they are given permission for something that improves their quality of life, I say go for it! How many drivers on the road are pumped to the gills with alcohol (legal), numbing prescription pills (legal), and/or a mix of both in their systems, yet that's okay because it can be bought in a store or "My doctor said I need this."?

edited to add: I do NOT believe it's a great idea for kids to be burning up brain cells at a rapid rate and yes, it DOES have a huge and noticeable impact on young people when they get older.

Exactly my point...I much rather a bunch of stoned people than a bunch of high people. And high driving is not bad at all. It would make a great substitute for alcohol but if we made alcohol illegal there would just be illegal trade everywhere like there is for drugs now.

Oh you'll see 45 but it'll just be very blurry . People like Snoop Dog who've been smoking for like 20 years straight are extremely burnt out but they still don't die...they just reach a stage of ultimate stupidity .

I have no problem with people smoking marijuana. It should be legal at 18 (everything should imo since you're considered an adult then). The only thing that kills brain cells is the lack of oxygen but you can do that by inhaling any kind of smoke such as BBQ smoke. Don't BBQ kids!  I'm sick of people thinking it's illegal because they think its a health hazard. Really? REALLY?

Yeah I think its ok. To all of you who for some reason think it kills you, if you smoke it the right way out of a vaporizer you dont get any toxins or tar, just THC. The most judgemental people are those who go home and get drunk or they are addicted to pills and think because they aren't breaking the law they are better than someone else. I would much rather digest something that grows out of the ground than some type of manmade chemicals. And unlike tabacco, weed doesn't kill the ground that it is grown in, so weed would be a healthy alternative to cigarretes and alcohol in my opinion. Like someone previously said before me it is legal in 13 states its legal to smoke it, legal to grow it, and not hard at all to get a card for it. BTW when someone drives high they drive more careful, plus have you ever heard of anyone overdosing on weed or getting weed poising??

Marieelissa pot IS legal some places, it comes in plant form and for medical purposes you don't just need the THC there are other chemicals one is called CBD, and when you use it for medical reasons you will want a strain that has a higher percentage of CBD.

You would need a prescription if when caught you didn't want to go to jail. Shoot, there's a knife and a gun, I can go kill...sure but do I really want to do the time?!?

How can you possibly equate killing someone, just because you can, to the argument for or against smoking pot? Most states have also lowered the amount considerd illegal. If you go above and beyond that and get caught, you MIGHT do some time. As far as I know, the laws in cases of murder, have not really changed.

All I am saying is it is against the law. Just because weed is there doesn't mean you have the right to smoke it. You don't have the right because let a cop catch you.

This argument is a bunch of crap.  Doctors perscribe drugs to kids Legally that makes it ok?  drug companies advertise on tv to push thier drugs, Coz they have the right to do so, thats fine? how many people are so screwed up on legal prescription meds. but its ok as long as its legal, as far as i know more kids commit suicide coz the drugs that are givin to them legally  have very serious side effects. But its legal and hey its not against the law  so who cares

I think it's fine as an occasional thing, same with alcohol and cigarettes.
But when you need it constantly, it isn't a good thing.

I think it is okay, you can smoke it , eat it drink it, cook with it. Great for glaucoma, muscle spasms, increase appetite, headaches, nausea, reduce unwanted fluid in your body, and increase metabolism for weight loss also increase your thinking process help you remember, great to use when studying or getting ready for a test. Should be legalized, but it is too hard to hem it up, too many seeds out everywhere and the government cannot control it to place a tax on it.
