Do you need closure when a person close to you dies?
« on: April 15, 2010, 07:48:24 pm »
My grandmother passed away this morning at 1 am. I didn't get to her house til 5 am and it was too late to see her at the funeral home. I am sad but I think still in denial like its not really happening. Is this b/c i didn't see her. I just saw her alive 2 days ago and its just so hard to believe.

So my question is: How long am I going to feel like this and how am i suppose to get closure? So many of us are in denial.

I am very sorry for your loss and may she rest in peace. You will probably feel sad and lonely for her for a long time to come. The pain never really goes away, it just fades with time. Keep the loving memories close to you and remember how she was and how she lived. Sometimes it is better for some people to not see their loved one after they have died. Remember her how she was, her smile, her love, and keep the memories close to your heart.
