 :peace:organic foods actually keep longer, if they are fresh and in season when you buy them!  since buying organic, I spend less money on throwing things out, and because the food is more nutritious, we also eat less to feel satisfied.  hard to believe, i know, but it really does pay to buy quality anything, just like my dad always said...  :angel11:

I don't know where those numbers cam from but i know that there is experation dates on items but usually they can last longer than that. for instance, milk usually has about a week and a half to two weeks from the experation date when you buy it in the store, but usually you can go a week past the date. From my understanding the date are regulations for the store so that they can not be on the shelves past that date.

That information was from an episode from Dr. Oz.  I'm not saying the information is in stone, I'm just sharing it!
