Can American idol survive without Simon whats your opinion?

Simon IS the show. His comments are practically the core of the show. I haven't watched it as much as I did in the past years...and the show is already heading a little downhill. In my opinion, Simon leaving = crash

Without Simon there's no AI. American Idol was Simon, Randy, and Paula. THAT'S IT. Now I don't watch it anymore with all the new people they have.

I use to watch the show every time it was on because I worked in a Group home for developmentally disable adults and had nothing better to do,  I haven't watched it in years but think that all those kind of shows do well and with just the the fact that it is American Idol it should survive for some time.  I do however think that withour Simon they are just gonna all be nice and encouraging and thats crappy I think it will be to much like an elementary school talent show.

I think it's a sinking ship which is why Simone left  I hate AI  so I will be glad when it finally goes off and they can put somethin better on

I'm very interested to see how this season goes without Simon.  I really don't believe it will be the same without his crude remarks, thus less entertaining.  It will be interesting to see J-Lo and Steven Tyler has hosts, but with only one original judge left, I don't know how well this season will be.

Won't be the same without Simon, Kara and now Ellen is gone too.  Randy is the only one left.  Howard Stern should hop in there.

I, for one, have already stopped watching, and I'm sure that a lot of others are feeling the same way.  I just don't really care anymore-the talent is getting less and less anyway.  It may not be only because Simon is gone, though, but instead that the show has run its course.  Maybe they will be around for a few ore seasons, but I think it's going to become less of a family thing and more of a teenager thing or very young audience maybe.  That show won't last much longer.

I don not think so, this maybe the last season coming up unless they can find some really good replacements.
