Broadband vrs DSL vrs Dial-up

I have comcast and they probably have a sign up special monthly fee.  After that expires, you can call them and try for an extension.  Sometimes it works.  Occasionally I get disconnected from either my internet or my t.v. cable, but know how to get it back.  I have never had dial-up, but know I would not like it.  For one thing, I am on my computer too much.

I work from home and must have the fastest ISP possible, so I've used cable for years.
