I broke up with my girlfriend about 5 weeks ago and have been having a hard time forgetting about her.  Some friends have told me that I need to find someone new to replace her spot in my thoughts.  I've been considering a dating site to try to find someone because I hate going to bars and don't really have the time to go out to places just to find someone.

I can't help but feel some sort of stigma behind using a dating site though, like people think "omg he's such a loser!  He had to use a dating site to find a girl!  What a reject!"

I never used the sites, but i have joined them in order to complete a survey offer. If I was single then I would try it out, because i think they are a great way to meet descent people.

Some people may think this, but this opinion is not shared by as many people as in the past.  People are hard pressed for time to meet someone and it is difficult to find places to meet people. Online dating services are used by millions.  As you get older it is harder to meet people to date.

  wow! congratulations - No not me - I met my husband walking to college one afternoon.  I waited 11 yrs until he decided to get married. Now married for 14 yrs

No as I have never needed to. Might sign up for one for credit on here but, dont really need one. If I were single, I would be too afraid to use one. I would rather meet a person that lives close to me so that I may get to know him in a more in depth way. I would be afraid of what type of person he might be. I think by now we have ALL heard good stories as well as the bad about these sites. Its the bad stories that I cant get past to be able to use one. I would be afraid of meeting a stalker type or an axe murderer because you basically know nothing about them and really have no way of finding out from others what their true character is like.

I've never used one or even visited one.  I do think they can work well for some people.  Not everyone has the time or money to go out every weekend looking for someone.

I do strongly believe you can find true love online.  I met my wife on a popular online gaming site almost 9 years ago now.

I have used a dating site thats where i meant my bf. However, I usually just chat just to meet new people..,more like friends. I think it is ok to mee people online...theres a lot of good people out there.
