The thing that works best for me is to stay busy and find interesting things to do.  If I am distracted with different things to do my mind is not constantly thinking about food.  Also shopping keeps my mind busy and I find I eat when I am actually hungry and not bored. ;)

Eating slower, and drinking more water are probably the best suggestions I have, as some ppl have mentioned!

Its not about what other people think, its what's actually healthy.  Its been proven that overweight people have shorter lifespans and are more likely to have heart problems in life.

Drink allot of water before you eat, in between meals, and every time you think about it drink another glass of water. Drink soo much water that you can not possibly be dehydrated. Most people think that they are hungry and are really just dehydrated.
Then you will be so busy running to pee that you won't have time to eat.  ;D

That is very true lol ! Probably why I always have to pee ! :P But I am not dehydrated lol! I actually count how many glasses of water I drink per day to make sure I drink enough.

I think the biggest problem in society is the lengthening of people's lives... I mean come on if there were fewer people then there would be more jobs, less pollution, and allot less problems! Besides what is soo great about prolonging your life to such an old age any way?? I for one have no intentions of living as long as either of my grandmothers did. There is no quality of life at that age ...

Stay away from anything with high fructose corn syrup.  It screws up the leptin in your system, which is an appetite suppressing chemical in your brain.

I guess filling up on liquids might help. It does for me. Or just chew a lot of gum to keep your mouth busy. :-X
