Anyone use an electric razor?

I've been using Gillette M3 Power razors for a long time, but lately I've been considering an electric razor because they seem faster and more convenient than a regular razor.

Anyone use one?  Do any of them shave as close as a standard razor?  After shaving, my face is smooth as a baby's butt.  I'd like to achieve that on a daily basis, but I have a hard time getting up early enough to get a shower in before work, let alone shaving.

I used an electric razor for a long time, but it eventually hurt my face.  They work better if your beard is very short, don't shave for a few days and then use it and it will pull the hair out of your face.  Hurts...

i use to use a norelco but the replacement blades were too expensive so I went back to cheaper throwaway blades.

My husband does, and it is always all over the sink, so be prepared to clean it up, usually they are off the door, and leave the mess.
