old computer games
« on: March 10, 2010, 08:18:47 am »
Number Muncher, Prince of Persia, Frogger, Sim City, and Oregon Trial are just some of the old computer games I can remember. Which ones can you remember, and liked or hated? Do you still have that game, or a remake to one of them? I know Frogger and Prince of Persia had remakes.

AHHHHHHH!!!!! OREGON TRAIL!!!!!! I used to love that game, we would play it everyday in elementry school, good stuff. "Oh no, your cattle is diseased, you lose. Oh no, you've been bit by a rattle snake, you lose" funny stuff. I really like Doom, Wolf, and Duke Nukem. The originals. I still play Starcraft 1, (#2's comin out soon) and hummm....Mortal Combats always good.

There was a game where you take an adventure through the amazon, take pictures of animals, and fish with a spear. I think it was called 'Amazon Trail' or something similar. Not as old, but G-Nome was a fun mecha game and so was Total Annihilation.

Haha I remember playing Oregon Trail as well. Whenever we had a break, us kids would rush over to the computer lab and play. So fun. I don't even know why it was so fun. Probably just playing with friends.

Good games listed so far.  Another good old game was Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?.  Ah, good memories of back in elementary and middle school playing on the old Apple IIGS machines!

I remember Carmen Sandiego, and the television shows. One was a game show, and the other was a cartoon.

Another old computer game that was fun was, The Castle of Dr. Brain.
