Suggestion - 180 Day Warning
« on: February 28, 2010, 10:34:53 pm »
My apologies if this suggestion has been brought up, or if this is already implemented, but perhaps a a good implementation to Fusioncash can be to email member's where their credits are close to expiring after 180?

I mean, it sure beats logging on to see that you've lost money, no?

Not a bad idea, especially for new members who are not familiar with the 180 rule.

I suspect most members, who are active, are very much aware of the 180 rule and are cashing out well within the 180 day time frame.

Probably would need to do it 30 days before the end of the 180 day period to give a person a chance to bring their total up to $25.00 and/or initiate their cash out.

Yeah this sounds like a good idea. Could be alot of work but if FC could somehow automate it to send out an email at the end of the month or something then that would give people plenty of time ( like 4 or 5 updates) before there credits started to expire. It would be a friendly courteous reminder and could be a great thing to help referrals to stay active. Maybe ask permission when people sign up or give them an option to opt out then or at some point also.

I like this idea as well, I try to keep track, but sometimes can't tell.

It's not feasible to send an email for each of the thousands upon thousands of bonuses and offer credits that expire.  What happens is, some people mark the email as 'spam' - and then you can't get other important emails from us, like your account confirmation, cashout confirmation, or offer crediting notices.  We are sending out the maximum number of emails that we reasonably can with our current infrastructure.

Yes the automated system would be simple to do because all you have to do is download a program to do it for you. But like the admin said, most people have Fusioncash marked as spam so there would be 1000000000 other posts like this one popping up daily. People simply need to read the rules and fallow them. What i would suggest is possibly change the credited offers to have a count down? Maybe like "MySurvey (60 days left)" or something so it tells you how long you have left before they expire. I had only 1 offer expire on my but it was for $1.75 which is a lot of dailys in my opinion. Just an opinion on my behalf. Thanks

If I understand the request, there should be just a new column added that adds 180 days to the moment it was completed, labeled as "Expire Date". THAT would be easy.

Otherwise, just do the math. Approximately 6 months out from when you completed it. Done and happy.

I have been on Fusioncash about two years and NEVER had anything expire. It's not that hard to cashout in 90 days and you have another 90 days as a cushion. Put the responsibility where it belongs, on US.

Not a bad idea, especially for new members who are not familiar with the 180 rule.

If they read the Terms of Service when signing up like they are supposed to, they would know about the 180 day rule before even diving in.

The concept of some type of notice about expiring offers isn't bad, but I agree e-mails wouldn't be the way to go.  If anything, maybe something could be implemented on the section for 'Offers credited to your account'.  Maybe add a list to the right of the 'Status' column called 'Days to Expiration' and have a countdown from 180 next to each offer.  Once the countdown reaches 30 or 14 or whatever amount of days on the offer, the text could appear in red or something eye-catching, highlighting the warning of it soon expiring.

Or, maybe just some box in the account page named something like "Soon to Expire Offers", where offers within a designated amount of days of expiring show up in it with how many days until they expire listed next to each one.

I've never had a problem with this issue.  However, for those who have, I could see this being at least a bit useful.  If you complete an offer today, March 13th, it doesn't expire September 13th.  At first thought it would. But, 180 days later would be September 9th.  I can see how that could catch some off guard.

I have known about the 180 day rule since I signed up, actually I marked it on my calender so I would not forget. It is easier for us each to write it down or even create one of those countdown things you can have online that tell you how many days you left until your 180 days are up!

My apologies if this suggestion has been brought up, or if this is already implemented, but perhaps a a good implementation to Fusioncash can be to email member's where their credits are close to expiring after 180?

I mean, it sure beats logging on to see that you've lost money, no?
Im sorry im new what is the 180 day thing you are talking about. is it that all the money you have earned turns to nothing after that time

Almost correct from my understanding, they expire after 180 days in the order you completed them, not all at once. I have never had one expire in the 2 1/2 years I have been here, so I can't say from personal experience.
