Valentines day. In retrospect?
« on: February 17, 2010, 06:17:23 pm »
I want to know how your valentines day was
in retrospect of the 20 million dollars spent
for advertising the union of romantic relationships.
As for me? I was at work all day, and then came home
to drink wine and forget that i was lonely

I spent my valentine's day doing my brother's taxes so that he would give me a new cell phone because I have the worst luck with cells.  Then my husband and I caught a ride home from my father because we blew the engine in our vehicle travelling to visit my mother in law for her birthday the weekend before.  How romantic.   :dontknow:

hahah! that was clever. it made me chuckle.
but not at your loneliness...

my valentine's weekend was good, but it should
have been. it was the first time he actually did
something nice for it in seven years. love his heart.

i was in walmart the day before valentine's day and
you could have mistaken it for christmas  ::) ugh.

[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

What I did was deliver over 30 Singing Valentines with flowers and candy to sweethearts in our area.

we had so much snow the week leading up to valentines day and then my whole family got sick.
I did get my husband a card, which is much less than I would normally do --- our first date was on Valentine's day 5 years ago so I like to acknowledge that ----

he did so much more for me.... he listened to me and got me exactly what I asked for --- a gift certificate for a mani/pedi. :)

My husband got me exactly what i wanted for valentine's day.  A Cricut expression.  I love him for being so considerate and actually paying attention to me.   :)

I worked most of the day but came home to a great dinner my husband made me and a bottle of wine.  Nothing expensive, but a loving gesture that was greatly appreciated.
