How Old Were You When You Got Your Wisdom Teeth Pulled?

I'm just getting mine pulled at age 27. Please share your experience. I had to get each one removed one at a time and was awake for the whole procedure. I was in so much pain. I go back to have the last one pulled next month. I can't wait to get this behind me. Is there a possibility of more teeth coming in?

Yeah, I had to have mine surgically removed too, but I was awake for the whole procedure. Mine were impacted. It took a long time for my feelings
to come back. I thought maybe the dentist hit a nerve or something, but the feelings are coming back slowly. I can't wait to get this last one out.

  I was 18, and all four were IMPACTED!!!!!! I had oral surgery, and I still have problems, because the Dr. had to dislocate my jaw to get them out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                They are your teeth in the very back.. sometimes under your jaw.. When they become impacted,, because there is no room for them to come up,, you'll know!!!!!

i had braces for about 5 years, and had perfect teeth. i waited to get my wisdom teeth out, and now my teeth are all crooked again. braces for nothing.

I haven't gotten mine pulled out personally, but a lot of my friends have at around 15, 16, 17-ish

I was 23 years old when I got my Wisdom Teeth pulled out. I got all four pulled out on the same day. I was in so much pain. All I could eat for about two weeks was soft foods like: ice cream and mashed potatoes. What helped me heal without any problems was following exactly what my dentist said. I took my antibiotic medicine. That is a must do thing when you have surgery like that. Take all your required meds because it will keep you from making that situation worse than it already is. I wasn't nauseous but one time. I took one of my prescibed nauseous pills and I was fine after that. I just followed everything my dentist told me, and everything worked out fine.

I was 28.  It's better to get them pulled when you are younger, less complications.  I had numbness for a long time I was scared it would be permanent but eventually it healed, took a long time though.

  I must be very wise! My first wisdom tooth was pull out in my fifties. I still have two wisdom...with no cavities.

i have mine but they are hidden in my gums,,i had a back molar pulled about 10 years ago and my wisdom tooth dropped down and filled the gap, so i still have all of mine and i am 40.
