I don't like my spouse's friends myself. They talk very negatively and don't give very good advice when it comes to choice-making. I hope my husband makes better friends, haha.

we don't have too many "friends" but I don't have any problems with any of my husband's buddies..... although since we got married he doesn't "party" with them -- he stays home with me so that likely influences my opinion on this.

Friends are there usually before the Husband or Wife comes into the picture, although, if it compromises your relationship between you and your husband or boyfriend, then there could be a problem...That really sucks, because your commitments between your friends and your spouse/boyfriend becomes clouded, and you begin to wonder...."does he/she really want to spend time with me or them", "I can't believe that his/her best friend talked to me that way and He/She did nothing about it!!!" you know?

i can understand what you are saying, but we are very focussed on our careers and our family and it's actually very enjoyable.  We do have friends that we had before we got married, but many of those relationships DO change once you get married and start a family and people move away, etc.

I dun mind my boyfriend's friends because I'm friends with them to an extent. They aren't bad people and they don't go out doing ridiculous things. Plus I am friends with his best friends wives/girlfriends so it works out.

Some of them I like, some I can't stand. I don't approve of any of them because I feel like they use him to get what they want.

My husband is my best friend, and I am thankful for that...so his friends and family became OUR friends and family...
Usually if there was someone that we were friends with that I disliked or questioned, he already  felt the same way about that person, and we just went from there.....
