I got my check today, Friday, May 16, 2008.

BUT I RAN INTO MAJOR PROBLEMS CASHING IT!


I went to a local Walmart Supercenter. I first approached the in-store bank who said that without an account they would not be able to cash the check. Noticeably, I was standing underneath a huge sign that reads, "we can cash your check anytime...even without an account!"

Understandably, I was annoyed when the teller told me to speak to try customer service "because they might be able to help you". So, I stood in line for about five minutes to have the cashier tell me upon first glance at the check that there was "no way in the world" Walmart could cash the check. Nonetheless, she had me enter my social sec # and ran the check through the computer to find that they could not cash it. She handed me a receipt that read "denial reason #2" with no other explanation other than to tell me that, "there's no way getting around this" and handed me back the FusionCash check. I told her I would contact the manager, whose telephone number is conveniently posted on the wall right next to her head. I walked away, turned the corner and quickly dialed the number - only to find her on the other end.

I have read numerous posts of people cashing the check at Walmart without indicent. Can anyone help explain this?

And, yes, I know I can have it direct deposited, PayPal, etc. so don't waste your time telling me that again...I need some real answers!

Yes I had similar problems when I went to go cash it.  ACE could not because she said " If I cant find a number to verify the funds, I cannot cash it." Then I went to another check cashing place, they practically said the same thing. Then I went to another check cashing place, they were able to go to the ezpay website to verify the funds and said "We will be able to cash it for you. Sorry that you had to go through all that mess." I was relieved when I was able to cash the check. On my account page still says my fulfillment status is still pending. I guess some have better luck than others.

Thats best way I can explain my experience with cashing a check from FC. I was about to give up on cashing it until that last place was able to cash for me. I wasted a lot of gas in the process though.

I've gotten two checks from FC so far and I've cashed both so this place works for me.
