I'm preparing, as I have for the past 15 years since my Mom passed, the whole feast!

-Roasted Turkey with butter, garlic & herbs rub
-My Oyster & Chestnut stuffing (not water chestnuts either, actual chestnuts. Like in the song, "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire...Jack Frost nipping at your nose") lol
-Candied Yams with roasted pecans & walnuts
-Green Bean Casserole with almonds and a secret ingredient that makes this version a family recipe.
-Deviled Eggs
-Mashed taters with Turkey drippings gravy
-Homemade meatballs with Penne Pasta (I am from an Italian family so we do some Italian foods on Thanksgiving)
-Calamri Pasta w/Pesto Sauce & Roasted peppers
-Homemade Pumpkin, Rhubarb & Apple pies
-Homemade Rolls
And of course, Cranberry sauce!

I will start my prep work on Tuesday and will be busy all the way till eating time Thanksgiving day!

I cannot wait as I absolutely LOVE to cook. The best payoff is seeing the enjoyment on the faces of others as they are eating a meal that was prepared for them. And what a better time of year than Thanksgiving.

I wish for everyone to have a most bountiful & thankful Turkey Day!

That's cool to have friends like that! I love to cook and am very passionate about it. I kept with the tradition of cooking for Turkey day as that was my Moms fav. holiday. I can remember as a young child, having to get a foot stool to see over the counter so I could help my Mom cook. So I've been doing it for about 33 years..and I'm 37. lol

I hope your holidays went well SleepyBear (love the name btw..I collect Bears, among other things).

Take care hun and best wishes.  :dog: :bunny: :cat:
