Security at Hoover Dam wasn't a joke when I was driving semis over-the-road and was no longer allowed to run out of Kingman Az across Hoover and into Vegas and had to start going all the way into California and then back track into Sin City, adding hours of driving with no additional pay or time allotment to get there.

Used to love that drive...watch the over-hanging rocks in the switch backed curves, the bighorn sheep and all the humans that don't have the sense to get out of the middle of the road when a semi is approaching.

If you get the chance, stop at the dam and look over the gaurdrail. I bet you could read an entire novel on the way down if you took the plunge there.

People.. flying is very safe. If you drive, you definitely shouldn't decide not to fly because of risk. Driving see's far more deaths and injuries. Even if you aren't driving and just walking near cars its more dangerous.

With the total body scan, it's like going to the doctor... he or she has seen it all before, so I don't care about who sees my whatever. It's the fact that TSA couldn't catch crabs... When they start putting quality people behind the scanners, wands, etc., you'll see instances like this greatly diminished. I'm getting threatened for a bottle of face lotion that is not quite within the guidelines, and a guy gets on with stuff strapped to him?

As long as they dont start pullin the gloves out on me im completely 100% for the full body scan. I thought they were already good with their security and i've flown all my life. But i'd rather them have something with x-ray for us instead of just metal detectors and a dude feelin us up. COMON NOW ITS 2010 FOR F,SAKE

I don't think anyone likes a total body scan, but terrorists have it made it necessary that these steps must be performed to ensure that all passengers are safe and arrive safely to their destination.  Too bad this is way it has to be.

I don't see the full body scans as a bad thing.  They don't really show anything anyways so not sure where the privacy issue comes into play.  It is simple enough, if you don't want to be exposed to this, submit to a volunteer search or don't fly.
