husband gifts
« on: December 22, 2009, 06:17:20 pm »
my husband is HARD to shop for -- he asked for a remote control helicopter and I procrastinated for a long time because I didn't feel like this was the best gift for him.... I gave in and I bought it (as well as some other things).

What do you think?  Would you at least be happy that I ACTUALLY bought what you asked for?

I would think that your hubby would be excited that you got him what he wanted. I had the same problem a couple year's ago... I realized that if I get what he wants he is a lot happier, although he is happy no matter what I get him. I hope both of you enjoy the gift.

Yes, I would be happy receiving a gift that I specifically asked for.  The remote helicopter is what your husband asked for and you did just that.  I commend you for that.  Your husband is happy which makes for a happy home.  At least you didn't have to guess on what gift to give and then discover that wasn't what he wanted.

If he is hard to shop for but he wanted the helicopter and you didnt think it was the best gift for him?  im confused   We (men) are not that complicated if we want something then thats what we want and we are happy.

I get my husband things he wants. He wanted a new watch and some video games so for Christmas that is what I got him and he was very happy. I think it is better to give him something he wants and you know he wants than to get him something you think he wants and watch him be disappointed.

Yes, that was nice of you. I know what you mean about husbands, at christmas time, I bet I circled the stores we went to more than 10 times, they are truly hard to buy for. I think what I bought him still sits in the corner, a gift card for holidays, seems to be the best idea. Let him take the reigns and shop on his own, without having to worry whether he can have, or afford something or not.

Have you checked the watch's availablity on auction sites? Or even just use Google to see if the model you want is listed.
