National Credit Report
« on: December 08, 2009, 08:17:34 pm »
Has anyone received credit for National Credit Report? I signed up, received emails and logged in to get my report on 12/7, but no credit. The higher-paying offers seem to be having trouble crediting recently...

Did you have to give your SSN for this offer.  I have been reluctant to try the credit reports.

I've been working with my credit for awhile. It doesn't really hurt you to do the offers, and the ones are here are going to be safe. You can always do a google search on the company and see if there's any bad results. Sometimes, the only part I really have difficulty with is the cancelation if I no longer want to use their service. Some of them are nice, being able to report inacuracies, being able to contact the companies that say you owe them money directly, and in case something isn't being reported correctly, you can stay on top of it.

Its a quick easy 8-10 bucks to sign up for these credit offers, and don't worry about them too much, they cannot do anything with your information. Obviously though, do it on a secure environment where you trust the computer and connection you're on. The websites aren't the issue, its the computer you're on that is. If you don't feel comfortable that there is NOTHING malicious running on the computer, then don't give out your social, but if its a well-maintained house computer it shouldn't be a problem.

Some people (who are paranoid, but safe) use a copy paste method of individual numbers. This way is okay too.
