Tiger Woods
« on: December 08, 2009, 09:58:13 am »
Does anyone really think it's our business what Tiger Woods does in his private life... I think people or at least news loves this story so much because he was always on this pedestal above everyone else in his profession and in his personal life.  Boy, how we love to take people down a peg or two to make us feel better.  Am I right or wrong about this?

No. It is not our business what Tiger Woods or any other celebrity for that matter does in their private lives. It is the media that makes it our business by the continous updates on what is going on in the celebrity's private life. I think once we get sucked up into the media's hopla is when we begin to want to know more and more. With Tiger Woods, I do not think the excessive media coverage on his private life has so much to do with the whole cheating or "transgression" thing. It has to do with the fact that it is Tiger Woods of all people who has gotten caught doing something wrong. Tiger, up unitl now, has led a pretty quiet private life. Nobody never heard anything about his private life off the golf course.

The private life of Tiger Woods should be kept private. It is not the business of anyone else.

Frankly, I agree with you.  :angry7: That's the downside of human nature. Humans unfortunately have this nasty habit of gossiping negative news of other people to inflate their bloated egos. There are many people that are like that with a full load of  :bs:. You can't change others, but you can change yourself.  :)

I don't really care about the situation.  If he did, if he didn't none of our business.  The media blows this stuff up to much.  I wish that there was a magazine or show that would dig up all the wrong doings that these journalist do.  Maybe this crappy way of reporting will stop.

Lol...Now that's a good idea.  And ironically something that I may care about or watch. heh... Jon Stewart comes the closest to that with The Daily Show.

It's true that it isn't any of our business that Tiger Woods is doing...however, isn't it the same when a friend tells us something about someone else and I seem to have an opinion about it. Especially if the issue is relative to our core feelings. In this case, Tiger is going to feel it burn for a minute because he is in the public eye. I don't think that anyone would a direct influence to this matter regardless of how they feel about Tiger. But we can't help but to discuss the particulars.

I think the press should leave him alone because of the shame his behavior is bringing on his wife and children, who don't deserve such unpleasant attention.

The news  media has really blown the Tiger Woods incident way out of proportion.  I am really sick of hearing about this.  He isn't the first to cheat on his mate and will not be the last.  So many people had put Tiger on a pedestal and then they discovered he is only human like everybody else.  Leave the man and his wife alone for goodness sake.

The Media will do and say anything for sensationalism.  They really are scum.

Since networks are running news 24/7, they report on anything and everything.  There are so many news stories that are far more important than this silliness.

Who cares what he does or who he sleeps with.  As long as he can golf, hey just do it.

Does it make for an interesting news story? Yes.
Is it the public's business?  Most definitely not.

I don't condone what he did but it isn't my place to judge, I don't know him.
