Christmas tree: real or fake

Personally, I prefer the real ones. I have in the past used fake Christmas trees and I have found that nothing beats a real tree. You can't get the same smell from a fake tree as you get from a real tree; and I believe that is one of the biggest reasons that people prefer real trees.

Yes, a real tree can be a bit of a hassel. When you get it, you have to trim it. It has to be watered and if you have pets you don't want them drinking the water for various reasons. If you put asprin in the water to keep the tree living longer, that can make your pets sick. Plus the sap that the tree exudes into the water can also make your pets sick if they drink it. Then there is the needles that the tree drops as it starts to wilt. Which can be a major hassel to get out of carpeted floors.

But all in all, the experience you get from having a real tree compared to having a fake tree; just can't be beat.

this year we have a real one but we usually have a fake one up. the real ones smell so much better lol
