I'm skeptical of offers that require a CC
« on: November 25, 2009, 08:50:54 pm »
There are some offers that require you to buy something, but FC has a reward that is more than the cost.  For example, the Blockbuster offer earns you $12, but only costs $5 to register, giving you a net $7!

However, I'm really skeptical about doing any of those offers, seeing how hard it can be sometimes to get the FREE offers to credit.  I did the Toluna offer, even confirmed my e-mail, and never got credit!  I did the PTC today and didn't get credit.  (EDIT: Nevermind, I did get the credit) There's gotta be about another 3 offers I did one night and never got credit for them.

If I can't trust the 50 cent and 75 cent offers to credit, I'm not going to drop $5 on an offer with no guarantee of a credit.  Its one thing to waste 5-10 minutes filling out a survey.  Its another to kiss $5 goodbye to never see again.

I've just done the National Credit Report that rewards $10.00 and was credit instantly.  Also, any of the credit report offers or other credit card offers always credit with the exception of Smart Health (in my case).

Just make an excel sheet with the offers you do, the date you sign up, the instant charge or trial period (7 Days, 14 Days, 4 Weeks trial depending on the advertisers) & their customer service number.

I dont delete any of their emails because I use it for future reference just in case I decide to change my membership status.

In my experience, the trial offers more often than not will credit for you. There are some cases where it might not happen instantly though, because the company wants you to try out the product first.

But you do have to be careful and read the fine print/terms of conditions. Alot of these companies are really sneaky about not providing important details while you are signing up.

I have done quite a few credit card offers and been credited every time. I have done Blockbuster and they give you instant credit. Just do the offers that you want to do.

Yes, I am skeptical as well. That is why I only do the free no cc needed ones. I do think they should ad some more to the free offers. I suggest Live Hat Offers

I have never put my credit card online once, I do all the free offers and thats it, I am not greedy and dont want to get scammed in the process. My suggestion, because I have thought about doing this, is getting some kind of prepaid card or gift card, putting $20 or so on it, and using that for all the offers.
That way, whats he worst that happens, you get burned for $20 bucks?

Good luck all

A lot of companies will not take prepaid cards, especially ones that require monthly charges.  But don't think of it as money wasted even if it never credits, because you're still getting a great deal on a product.  And NEVER do an offer if it isn't something you want, because then it would be wasted money.

What usually happens is that they will force-charge the card and send it into a negative balance.  Then, the prepaid credit card company will send collections after you for the balance.  Or, the offer company themselves will send you to collections.  It's not a very good idea to use a prepaid credit card... particularly because some merchants will accept the order but not credit you if you use a prepaid.

pretty annoyed at the noobs of this site right now. Bashing this awesome site that actaully pays and has NEVER shown signs of scamming. the reason why the payout for credit card offers are so are to attract more customers. Fusion has always done a great job finding credit card offers that really pay. search threads and try to find a credit card offer that has never been completed.

Myself, I have stayed away from offers that are not the free ones but others have offered good advices - only do the cc offers for something you would have bought anyway.  As mentioned above, there are tons of conversation threads about this so look for some old threads for great advise from those who have used their cc's

Good Luck
