dont buy refrigerators from sears. we have one only 2 years old and stopped working. so called sears we have a warranty on it. called on june 4th. a guy came out june 10th  said hed have to order parts. one week goes by then 2 weeks we call and ask wheres are parts nothing. so we buy a small frig and a cooler. still waiting for parts. then they said their computers were down. now about a month later they said will get a new frig suppose to be this sat. the 24th ill believe it when the guy knocks on the door. we did get 115.00 for the small frig we got and suppose to get 240.00 for lost food. so dont ever buy an appliance from sears .  we had a frig before this one that lasted 15 or more years.

You must have gotten a lemon .. My Kenmore side by side is 10 yrs and going strong .  also have 40 yr non frost free freezer from Kenmore that has never given me any trouble.

Normally Kemore will last for a long time. Family friend has has theres 30 plus years very basic one to. I have one that is about 10 years old so u probably did get a lemon
