What would be good is if the site owner would let the users of the site know if it is going to be down or to know why it was down.  I didn't really miss it.  It went down on I think the 1st in the middle of the day and was down for about 3 days.  I passed through and if I could not log in I went on to something else.  I never considered it was my system.  I knew immediately it was their site.  But like others have said the site has been down before for a day or two.  I am not believing the maintenance.  I do web design and have set up several sites and maintain 2 - 3 right now.  There is not big maintenance.  The sites are never down.  When the sites are updated some parts of the site might be blank (while old stuff is deleted and new stuff is added) for maybe 5 minutes while the site publishes with the new content.
