Survey-Credit Card

I tried a Tap Research survey recently that asked for a valid credit card number to participate in a real auction, yet it said at no time would the card be charged. I was skeptical, so I left the survey and I obviously gave no credit card number. Has anyone had experience with this type of survey or tried to complete it?

I've never had or seen this survey that I can remember but I would not give my cc number as you never know who will access to the info or that the card won't be billed due to the fine print no one can read or understand  lol   better safe than sorry

I never do surveys that ask for any personal info, never ever!

I think that you did the right thing.  It could have been a criminal enterprise operating as though they were TAP or perhaps had attached itself to TAP.

I have seen that before, too and left the survey.  NO legit company would ask for a valid CC # just to participate in a survey, in my opinion.  I agree that it could be some entity who is posing a a TAP survey.

I have done surveys that said it was a real auction and I bid 0.  I was not asked for a credit card number.  I never give my credit card unless I am making a purchase.  Even other places where they say it is just to verify address and your card won't be charged.  If you don't believe me that I live where I say I do then I don't believe you that you won't charge my card.  I mean these surveys pay 30 or less cents.  What do you expect???

You people seem to miss a lot or maybe do not understand how this works.  "I" can go to survey monkey and make a survey and submit it to a company like FC promising to pay 50 cents per person who takes the survey.  FC gets x amount and the person doing the survey gets x amount. 

Read the fine print.  Don't just click agree.  A lot of the surveys tell you it is some college person supposedly doing research.  Anybody can make the survey.  You have no idea who is really behind it.

And another FYI a lot of people do not seem to realize is the people behind the survey have your personal info.  They know your REAL name.  They know your address.  And I assume since FC has our phone number they person behind the survey also has access to that.

If you do not believe this submit a support ticket to Fusion Cash and in a few months when they answer you they will tell you YES the people behind the survey know who you are.  I had always assumed the answers were anonymous.  They aren't.

They actually could.  At some people you may be asked if you want t purchase the product if you can get it for the price you bid.  If you bid $20 on a new HP laptop computer (which people have gotten them that cheap on that auction site) and it was a new computer and a real deal would you do it?

There could be a real reason behind this.  I have been asked for that before (not on a survey site) but to confirm my identity and that I was over 18.  So just because they ask for it doesn't mean it is a scam or someone trying to steal your identity.

No cc info for me, they can know my name and address, as for phone number I NEVER answer if I don't know the number, if they are interested in talking to me then leave message and I decide if I return you call or nor.  But CC # are a complete NO NO for me

Never saw a survey that asked for a credit card. I will never do a survey that asks for my credit card number or any other personal info.
