Ebay turning away customers

We have used ebay to advertise but not for several months.  We've never had any problems.

Hi hkckk5, I got an email from paypal too about their changes but I think this mess is on ebay's end (this time!).

As far as I could see the only changes to PP were that you can't just let money sit in your account like before unless you have one of the two other accounts attached that they were talking about.

Now, I just accept the money and immediately transfer it to the bank.  I don't like that because I don't like having to do a bunch of transfers and sometimes it can be 3-4 in one week.  I would rather have just kept it there and transferred it all at once.

But they obviously were not too concerned with my opinion. haha

I'm trying to figure out how that works with PP. I have $14 and wanted to buy something on ebay. It didn't give me the option from PP balance. I could only use CC or my bank. Not gonna do that. So how do I  buy if I can't use PP cash?

I rarely use Ebay anymore so didn't know about any of this going on.  Hmmmmm.......

Hmm, that is very strange, OP. Have you attempted to contact customer service to see if this is a system glitch on their end?

I purchased something on Ebay on Friday and paid with PayPal and didn't have any issues!  I shop Ebay quite a bit so I hope I don't have this happen to me!

Things change. It is not turning away customers.  You move with the times or you get left behind.  I can have a business and accept online payments.  If I have issues with PayPal (for example) I can discontinue using that as a pay option. You can pay with a debit card or credit card or you can shop else where.  That is how businesses see it.  Losing ONE customer is not a big deal to them.  There are more people who would rather pay with a credit card than with PayPal anyway.  I see credit cards as a much safer way to pay.

I would never buy off eBay anyway.  I do not like the online yard sale thing.

Most credit cards you can use a one time use number if you contact them and request it.  And all my credit cards have always had my back if something fraudulent or anything negative happened.

Haven't been on ebay in awhile,,,  probably about a year ago.  I didn't have any trouble then,,,,  things do change so  if I ever go back I will need to check it out before I buy

I have not bought anything on Paypal for a very long time now. But I did receive an email from Paypal there will be some changes in terms and conditions.
