Has anyone used Facebook Marketplace to sell items of yours OR Bought items that other people put up for sale?

I have done both.  I sold the baby crib a few years back once all the kids said they were not interested in it.

Recently I have purchased a Lazy-Boy Recliner and a Recycling Center cabinet.

It is fun to browse through Facebook Marketplace.  There are quite a few great finds on it.!

I browse it at least once a day.  I would love to find a good Lazy Boy Recliner.   I'm having some health issues and my recliner is the only place I'm comfortable, but mine is really worn.   Hope I can be lucky and find one.  I do see a lot of nice items and sometimes it's really tempting but it's always things I don't really need.

We were looking for a Lazy Boy recliner too!  A really nice one showed up at 10:30pm and I messaged the seller.  She had 10 hits in just minutes.  She sold it to the first person who messaged her.  I missed out by minutes.  Oh well, I just kept looking and found one that will work.

I have used it several times, but prefer Craigslist

I forgot about Craigslist!  I will have to check that out if anything else comes up that I need as we settle into our new location.  I don't want to spend  tons of money on new items.

I have sold a few things on marketplace. It is really convenient and most of the time people are willing to come to you for what they buy!

Yes, found some nice things at great  prices I was looking for. I don't sell  things, just purchase; I just put item in search i am looking for and see what comes up close by. In our county, we can use local police station as meeting place to pick up items from sellers; that way it's a safe location; if seller does not want to meet there or some other very public place, I just pass on the item as I  am not going to their home  and don't want them coming to my home; everyone needs to be safe! On FB Marketplace they will never give exact location of seller for that reason; just general area they live in. My church has alos used; we were looking to replace some furniture and did not have funds to purchase new; we found some good deals on marketplace; sometimes items may require a little paint or some other refinishing  but it still beats buying new. Someone's trash is another person's treasure!!
