yes my bill is high this month. they are filing bankruptcy owe billions. Read that the huge fire in ca this summer was their fault so many peoples lives ruined. We wont have to worry about the lites going out but a bigger bill will see hopefully not to big.

Our ex-governor Jerry Brown signed off on a bill before he departed, that PG&E could pass the cost of the lawsuits & expenses on to the consumer... I'm sure Brown's top aide who worked for PG&E & held financial stakes with them; & Brown's sister siting on the Board of another California Energy utility had nothing to do with his decision.

Our energy bills are going to go very high...

Anytime there is a lawsuit it is passed on to the consumer. Kind of like the fight about raising min wage and people screaming the company can afford it. The CEO and owners of the companies are not going to just give millions away to give employees raises. They will raise prices and the consumer will take the hit.

It is the same with all the freakin lawsuits these days. The consumer takes the hit for it.

I really feel for the CA folks affected by the fire and who will have to pay higher electric bills. I just doesn't seem fair!

I do not understand why PG&E (a utility company based in California) did not seek legal
counsel when all the strange wildfires started in that State. Now, it is simply too late.

Sorry to hear your bill is increasing. It is a shame that the ones at fault in the big corporations never take money from their own wallets.
