My mom has a membership to Costco and my sister has a membership to BJ's.  So I get to do both and spend time with them to boot

Unless you live close to one of these places to me it doesn't make sense to use them.

I used to belong to BJ's, but I stopped going in recent years because I found it just made me spend more and more money. The Dollar Tree is my go-to store now for essentials, and I'm not spending nearly as much.

We use BJ's. Only go there a couple times a month, but usually spend a few hundred each time. They had an incentive this month if you purchased 2 of a group of different items and get 25 cents a gallon off. We ended up paying $1.61 a gallon.

I remember when I was little my parents and I went warehouse shopping. I really forget how that was but I do know we never had a member ship to anything like that.

I have BJ's  I only use it for the cheaper gas.  I rarely buy food from there.

I have Costco cards, we have the executive membership/business and  it usually pays for itself with the cash back.  Also, I like to be able to get in the store before everyone else.

I don't have a membership to either one.  Neither is very close to my house.  It is about an 80 mile round trip to get to the closest one.  I do order from Sams.com using my daughter's membership and then have my purchase delivered free to my home.  It is better for me to do that than to go to the store.  I always spend more than I intended if I am in the store due to impulse shopping.
Have a wonderful day!
