Roomba Troubles!
« on: January 14, 2019, 09:27:55 am »
Does anyone here have a Roomba robot vacuum and, if so, do you enjoy it? Here is a horror story for Roomba owners with a pet at home!

A co-worker of mine has one and he turned it on today before leaving for the office. His wife arrived home a few hours later to find that their dog apparently developed diarrhea sometime today and pooped on the floor...   Of course, Roomba ran over it.  And spread it around... all over the carpet and flooring - in random pathways all over the house!

Oh no!!! Lol that's probably one of the main reasons I'm hesitant to get one of those. I'm afraid it would just clean random zigzag lines instead of cleaning thoroughly not to mention, like you said, spreading stuff all over..

I used to have a Roomba many (15+) years ago. It was great under beds, but pretty worthless otherwise, especially with pet fur. Mine was first generation, so I'm sure they've improved since then. I would never run anything while I'm not home. Not a crock pot, washer/dryer, dishwasher. Too paranoid that something will malfunctuon and cause a flood or fire. Never thought about dragging poo all over the place.  :o

This sounds like something you'd see in a comedy. Even though it's not very funny.

How awful a cleanup that must have been!
