So, what are your thoughts on the situation that has happened at Maryland regarding the football team?

Sounds like trouble is brewing on their field.  I hated to hear about the player that died.
Have a wonderful day!

With global warming so prevalent i really think they should consider pushing the FB season up a few months.

Its tuff for me to comment on this cos i wasnt there. But the medical staff should recognize a heat problem pretty fast.Maybe if they did this wouldnt have happened.

It's such a sad situation when Maryland is a prestigious school for football.  That being said, I don't think coaches had the right to push the kids, in one case to death, just to maintain that status.  Something has to be done and not just passing the buck and blame onto someone else.  Anyone anywhere who plays a sport should have the right to do it free from worry something bad will happen to them and they won't be taken care of properly.  It's about trust.  Kids participate in a sport they love and they trust if they get hurt they will be properly taken care of so they can get back out there and continue to play.  Unless something is done to Maryland coaching and nursing staff, that trust is broken and it will be a long time before its regained.  They just have to hope that the new generation looking to attend collage for football doesn't start looking else where because of this.
