I hope that he is planning something many, many years from now. I can understand him not wanting the President at his funeral. I hope people do no think  of him as being bad for this, but it is his wish. I pray we go thru many Presidents before we have to think of this.

That's just goofy...  I've never heard of people inviting people to funerals, like weddings . I think one puts the notice in the paper and people just show up. I am not aware of a funeral bouncer .

Good one, sbenkoski. I think he was just being nasty to be nasty. Shame on.

I applaud him on being a war hero but he's always been a wishy washy Republican...he might as well of been a Democrat.... :moneymouth:

I doubt if President Trump feels left out. Mccaine has been a turn coat ever since Trump was elected. All I can say is I am glad he is not our senator.

President Trump walks up to church door, big goon in black suit and dark sunglasses pops out:

"Sorry, Mr. President, your name isn't on the list of approved people that the deceased published before his death, you can't come in here."

"This is the worst funeral in the history of funerals!"

 ;)

Just a bit of humor here, folks... no offense meant either direction...

Feel sorry for him and if that is his wish I hope it is honored.  I really can't say I blame him.

John McCain was a true hero that served his country a naval aviator, shot down in Vietnam, held prisoner for five plus years in Hanoi and refused early release even after being repeatedly beaten. McCain continues to show his strength, and loyalty to our country, by keeping his post in the face of life threatening cancer and a revolving door of politicos who are not willing to deal with the current administration.  For this dedication to our country he is rewarded with comments like "He's not a war hero. He's a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured." from an individual who took four draft deferments for college and one for a medical condition that has not affected his golf game (bone spurs not noted by his former physician who was given the verbiage describing the patient's health by the POTUS), wrote a letter of Thanks to his ROTC officer for saving him from the draft, told Howard Stern on live radio that avoiding STD's was like his personal Vietnam shortly before his 'grab them by the female genitalia' comment was filmed and alleged affairs. Can not see why The Bush's did not want him at the funeral and McCain does not want him at his funeral, or why "Americans" from his own party, or any party, turn their back on him(tic).
