I love eating salads. I usually eat large salads at least 2 days a week. We have been serving salads where I work and no one has gotten sick so I finally bought some yesterday and it was so good.

I checked online to see if you could wash the lettuce well enough to rid it of the e-coli. The site I went to said that there are too many crevices in the lettuce where the germs can hide and so it cannot easily be washed away. Too bad. :(

We had to quit selling salads at work for a little over a week. Some customers got a little mad but it is better to be safe than sorry.

The Same here, I just get the regular iceberg lettuce which is not my favorite; but until  things clear up that will be my choice and hope they don't find a problem with that  one as I am a salad lover.

Fortunately I didn't have any romaine lettuce when the warning came out.  I won't buy it for a while now.  Spinach in my salad sounds good  ;)

The CDC has just reported the first death due to eating the lettuce.  I don’t know exactly had to tell if it comes from Yuma Arizona, I just stopped buying it.

There are problems with the bagged lettuce every year. I had been buying it but then had not in a couple weeks then saw the recall.  I have decided not to buy it any more. Would like to just grow my own.
