I'm really not sure unless it actually happened but I think I might say something like, "I hope you really like it because you are going to have to live with that awhile!" I have to imagine it is a stage and the kid would not look like that 6 months later. I know I would tell them they have to earn the money to maintain it...not me!

I would probably be shocked but would not think much of it. I seen the way todays youth is wearing their hair and I think if it is a trend, then go with it. I am sure we all had trends in our younger years. My hair was down to the middle of my back. I am sure my parents did not agree with my long hair but it was the way the style was for guys in the 80s

Hard to say for sure since I don't have kids. And I'm sure it would greatly depend on the age of the kid. I could seeing walking away shaking my head and making nonstop fun of them until it is changed. I could see shaving their head.

Well lol when my two boys were growing up they went from long hair to shaved heads to some other different haircuts but you know what their dad and I just let them be - in the end what difference does it make and usually they are all phases that come and go now with that said never did they have a pineapple for a hair cut lol I can't stop laughing over that one.

OMG. My son would never look anything but "normal", and my daughter loves her long hair. The craziest thing my kids ever did was dd dyed hers red.

I would probably have a good laugh, and just be glad my child were expressing themselves that way in a method that wasn't permanent or damaging to them, not involved with drugs or any destructive habits. There's a lot worse things kids can do than have a crazy haircut. That grows out.
