Yes I think it is definitely an international call and also a robocall. You should not even pick up these calls. I put free Nomorobo software on my home phone and it is eliminating the robocalls really well for me. I am quite pleased about it.

I do not have anything but my cell phone. I just use the caller id.  I am afraid to download software for my calls to go thru.  I don't like the idea of some company monitoring my calls.

I've got calls and when I look at the caller ID it's says  None ??? I just do not bother answering any calls if I do not recognize the number, my take is if it's important they will leave a message; the National Do Not Call Registry just does not seem to work; I have registered our home and cell numbers multiple times  and still get those annoying calls, so I just ignore them!

They don't enforce it.  And if the call comes from over seas apparently they can't do anything.  But if we called the same country I guarantee their government would be able to do something about us scamming their people.

I don't call any of them back nor do I answer any calls that I don't know who they are from. Although I do have a couple I have to answer , those coming from out of town  from the doctors but am pretty  sure who they might be from  the area code and the  time and date. They call to verifiy  if I am  going to be able to make my appointment. They have of course  several phones in the  building so you just  don't which number they will be calling from. Otherwise I just look at the  numbers an let them ring and the blocker turns the off on 3 rings

When they call put them in your phone as a contact.  And if they call from a different number just add that number to the other contact then you know who it is.

I typically don't answer calls  from numbers I do not recognize. I even had calls where MY number showed up on the caller ID lol How'd they do that???

They "spoof" the number.  They can also call other people and YOUR number will show up on their ID.  That is why I think it is wrong when somebody gets a spam call from a local number and then puts that number on social media screaming we need to teach this person a lesson.  NO you need to be horse whipped and YOU need to be taught a lesson.  The person's who owns the number didn't make the call and doesn't deserve to have their life ruined.  And that actually happened in my home town.  I have also known 2 people where their own phone number shows up on their caller ID.

So today I get a phone call (Sunday) and the ID says +1 (1) and then the local area code and the local prefix.  The +1 has me thrown.  Sounds like an international call.  What do you think?

It is definitely an international number.  When my daughter was London years ago and called home the prefix came up as 1.  Also when I have to call our international offices for work we have to use the 1

That makes sense.  It actually had two of the 1s.  +1 (1) xxx-xxx-xxxx  With the first 6 after the 1 being what made it look like it was a local number.  FYI I don't answer local numbers either if I do not recognize the number. haha

That seems to happen a lot.  Technology is not always a good thing.  I don't know why they think people would answer that.  Unless they think it will freak you out enough til you will answer it to see if you are calling yourself. lol

That's really odd. I have never seen a number start like that.
