I have wood and vinyl tile floors. I've always bought O-Cedar. Still made to last and never had a problem with the sponge....but 2 years ago, hubby bought me a steam mop. It's okay but it doesn't clean any dried spills or footprints (hubby isn't the greatest where spills and footprints are concerned). A friend told me to  use a spray bottle of cleaner, spray the stain, then steam. It works but it kind of defeats the purpose.

Is your floor really big? I will take a rag and get on my knees to clean it. Mine is not really big.

I use my Swiffer mop with cheap wash clothes. I put pine sol and water on the first one, then plain hot water on the second. After, I wash the clothes in the washer with a lil bleach. Easy peasy! ;)
